Fitness Incentives

The CLEVELAND COUNTY FAMILY YMCA is committed to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We also know how hard it can be to achieve and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Whether you are taking your first step to a new you or looking for motivation and encouragement along the way, the Y is here to help. We have several programs that offer support, community and incentives to get you to your goal. Check back here often and let us encourage you!


Current Incentives:

Journey to a New You: Healthy Lifestyle Challenge

Sign up now to receive a customized plan that will allow you to begin your journey to a new you! Once you sign up, you will be contacted and your 10 week program will begin. You'll be given recommended menus and workout plans that will keep you on track after your one on one meeting with a wellness coach for fitness testing and measurements. Re-test and re-measure at 5 and 10 weeks to monitor your progress and make adjustments as needed.

COST:
$60 / Norman Y Members


100 Mile Swim challenge

The 100 Mile Swim Challenge starts February 1 and ends October 31. Swim 100 miles and earn a Finisher T-shirt! You must be 12 years of age or older to participate. Participants ages 12-14 must complete the youth weight training course prior to registration. Visit the Member Information Center to register today!

COST:
$20 per participant for Norman Y Members
$25 per participant for OKC Y Members


Healthy Heart Month

It's time to take stock of what you can do to improve your health, especially your heart health.
 
EXERCISE
First and foremost, if you want your heart to be strong, it's imperative you get the right amount of exercise.
 
AEROBIC ACTIVITY
Walking, jogging, bicycling or cross-country skiing, are all great ways to strengthen your heart. Aim for at least 30 minutes of these activities four times per week. But be sure to talk to your doctor before starting a new exercise program.
 
DIET
Don’t forget how important your diet is in maintaining a healthy heart. Fruits and vegetables are key — these are great sources of fiber. Most of us just don’t get enough fiber in our diets.
 
PARTICIPATE
Join this month-long incentive program and let the Y help you achieve and maintain a HEALTHY HEART. This challenge is open to all Y members at any fitness level and any age. You'll receive fitness tips and diet tips to take care of your heart.

COMPLETE 20 HEALTHY HEART TASKS IN 28 DAYS.
Pick up a checklist at the Member Information Center and complete the tasks by March 6 to receive a T-shirt!
