After School PRIME TIME Registration

After School PRIME TIME Registration

When school is not in session, it’s the PRIME TIME to get kids moving, healthy and having a blast! Noble PRIME TIME is a DHS-licensed program that offers a safe, active and friendly atmosphere for children after school. Kids socialize, play games, read, do homework, play outdoors, build character and make friends! Snacks & transportation are included at a great price so that every child in the community can attend.

You may Register in-house at the Member Information Center. Although online registration is not available, you may fill out a registration packet here, and download the 2018-2019 Parent Handbook.

Norman Y Members $55 per week per child

All Others $70 per week per child

$30 registration Fee for all students

*Immunizations record & $30 registration fee is required at the time of registration.

Homeschool P.E. is a fitness class designed specifically for children ages 5 to 12 who learn at home. Children who participate in Home School P. E. will play games, do creative and challenging activities and get fit while having fun as they grow in spirit, mind and body. 

Encourage your children to have an active lifestyle through physical fitness. Enroll your children at the Member Information Center. 

When

Our Homeschool P.E. Program follows the NPS Schedule. It runs August 20 - May 23.

Class starts at 12:45 PM and ends at 1:45 PM.

Registration starts July 23. You can register online or at the Member Information Center.

Cost

Norman y Members: $18/month, $4/ea. additional child

All others: 32/month, $8/ea. additional child

Strong Swimmers, Confident Kids!

Fall Swim Lesson Registration starts August 1 and runs through November 15.

COST

Group Lessons are $35 for Norman Y Members and $55 for all others.

Semi-Private Lessons are $75 for Norman Y Members and $105 for all others.

Private Lessons are $105 for Norman Y Members and $135 for all others.

WHEN

Fall Swim Lessons are offered for 40 minute sessions. There are 5 total sessions and each session has 6 total lesson dates. The lessons are offered every Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.

Parents, we ask that you wait outside the pool area while lessons are being conducted. You are welcome to watch the lessons through the windows located in the hallway. 

No photos will be allowed during regular lessons. The last class is reserved for photos. 

Refunds will only be given for a major illness or cancellation of program class.

School's Out Camp

Empowering our Youth Through Fun & Recreation

This program devotes an entire day to fun and recreation when children have entire days off school. Any students enrolled in Norman Public Schools kindergarten and up and current pre-k-plus students are welcome. The dates available correspond with most non-school days. Camp is from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM with scheduled activities from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Activities include: theme days, crafts, swimming and field trips. Campers only need a sack lunch, swimsuit and towel. We take care of the rest!

Most objects we use on a daily basis were invented by someone. During this unit, students will discuss the difference between an invention and a discovery, learn how inventions solve problems, and find out how inventors get their ideas patented. Introduce your student to the world of ideas, creativity, inventions and patents. We will construct different familiar objects each week such as a hand mixer, windshield wipers and a conveyor belt. Each model is motorized for maximum movement and fascination!

It's a zoo in here! This is a unit sure to delight kids who love creatures. We'll build models of snakes, insects, mammals and more. Each week we'll discuss fascinating facts about the animals we build, from the chameleon that changes colors to the seal model that waddles across the table. Students will love these moving models that celebrate the wonders of the animal kingdom.

This course teaches the skills needed to help prevent and recognize aquatic risks and to assist lifeguards in emergencies. This does not provide lifeguard training; a certified lifeguard must be on duty when teaching a class. Participants must be 14 years or older and 100% attendance is required. Participants must also preregister 5 days prior to course. Safety courses are included in the fee.

The Y uses volunteer coaches to provide leadership to the community through structured athletics activities. If you are interested in coaching, we would certainly appreciate your help!

JERSEYS

Our Sports Jerseys are multi-purpose. They can be worn for any sport/fitness team or group that the Y has to offer. You can purchase them at the Member Information Center for $16.

The Y is offering the best in basketball to kids in our community. It's time to dribble, shoot and score big with the Cleveland County Family YMCA's youth recreational basketball league.

Train for the Oklahoma City Memorial Half Marathon

Success won’t come to you. Run to it.

Team up with the CLEVELAND COUNTY FAMILY YMCA and your fellow Y members to get in shape and prepare for the OKLAHOMA CITY MEMORIAL HALF marathon with a support system that will motivate you and push you to your limits! In this group you will burn calories, improve strength, increase your muscle and train for upcoming races.

WHEN

Join us, Starting January 5 for our first group run but if you can’t make it we hope to see you at the next one. We will run every Saturday morning at 8:00 AM until Saturday, April 20. The OKC Memorial Marathon with take place on Sunday, April 28.

A NEW SUMMER DAY CAMP EXPERIENCE.

If you're ready to unplug, breathe in some fresh air and get back to nature then we've got some news for you! We've recently acquired 10 acres of land at Lake Thunderbird in Norman for use during our Summer Day Camp, Schools Out Camp and Special Events! It is the perfect opportunity for your children to have the BEST SUMMER EVER!

WHEN

Camp starts in May and ends in August

Daily Duration is 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Campers will need to bring a sack lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, swim suit & towel.

Snacks are provided.

Registration Fee is $30 per camper.

YMCA Aquatic Safety Assistant (YASA)

This course teaches the skills needed to help prevent and recognize aquatic risks and to assist lifeguards in emergencies. This does not provide lifeguard training; a certified lifeguard must be on duty when teaching a class. Participants must be 14 years or older and 100% attendance is required. Participants must also preregister 5 days prior to course. Safety courses are included in the fee.

Bricks 4 Kidz® programs build on the universal popularity of LEGO® Bricks to deliver high quality, educational play that reinforces STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) concepts. Every class is a fun, enriching experience for your child, building new projects each week based on a multi-week theme, using the classic bricks loved by generations of children.

SESSION 1: INTERESTING INVENTIONS

Most objects we use on a daily basis were invented by someone. During this unit, students will discuss the difference between an invention and a discovery, learn how inventions solve problems, and find out how inventors get their ideas patented. Introduce your student to the world of ideas, creativity, inventions and patents. We will construct different familiar objects each week such as a hand mixer, windshield wipers and a conveyor belt. Each model is motorized for maximum movement and fascination!

YMCA Aquatic Safety Assistant (YASA)

This course teaches the skills needed to help prevent and recognize aquatic risks and to assist lifeguards in emergencies. This does not provide lifeguard training; a certified lifeguard must be on duty when teaching a class. Participants must be 14 years or older and 100% attendance is required. Participants must also preregister 5 days prior to course. Safety courses are included in the fee. 

Must register by September 19th.

September Craft: Unicorn Dream Catchers

If you like to design, imagine and create then come to the Y for a Girls Night Art! We are offering an arts and crafts night for girls in the community. You do not have to be a Y member to come and enjoy the festivities, so tell your friends and don't miss out! We will be supplying the art supplies and snacks.

This FREE event will happen select Fridays while school is in session, but we need to know you are coming, so please RSVP here.
