YMCA Lifeguard Instructor V6 Certification
This 27 hours course provides necessary training and information for participants to certify YMCA lifeguards and YMCA Aquatic Safety Assistants (YASA.)
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
$300 for all participants
Minimum age of 18 by the last day of the scheduled course
All candidates must show proof; “a letter” from a sponsoring YMCA to take the course. Send the letter to email@example.com 5 days in advance.
Complete the Online Orientation Training on yexchange.org. Cost $20 (non-refundable)
Complete the Adult Learning Concepts Online Training on yexchange.org.

Hold Current YMCA Lifeguard certification
Hold Current CPR Pro, First Aid and Emergency Oxygen Certification
Complete the Physical Competency Requirements and rescue skills
Complete the Y Lifeguard eLearning courses found on http://training.ymca.net/lifeguard
*Instructor crossover candidates need to complete the ASHI CPR BLS, Basic First Aid and Emergency Oxygen Administration. These courses will be sent upon registering & paying for the course and eLearning courses. Courses can be found on the YMCA exchange website - you must go to “My Account” and login. Orientation Training & Adult Learning Concept courses cost $20, paid directly to Y-USA.
